Yangon, before in British Empire it
was most popular by Rangoon. Yangon is
the capital city of country Burma (Myanmar). As the ancient story says Burma
was named after the Hindu God ‘’Burma’’ who use to live in this soil.
Now Yangon is the major tourist
destination in Asia. Most of the people visit in Yangon rather than other parts
of Burma because it is historically and culturally the most important place in
Myanmar. Also, Yangon is popular by its river ‘’yangon river’’. Here are the
most important places which attract majority of tourists.
Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most
popular gold plated temple in Myanmar that we can’t ignore it. 325 ft stupa
with shining marvel floor makes gives us peace of mind. In another hand, there is a 2500 years old
Sule Pagoda which shows Burmese history. This pagoda once was the major point
for a meeting of anti-government and
pro-democracy protestors. So studying this pagoda we can understand how Myanmar
changed time by time. Outside pagoda,
you can enjoy releasing birds which are captivated inside a cage. This is the
idea of earning merit by setting free captive birds.
Outside Street Food is most popular, you will often see ‘’Safe Food’’
slapped on a vendor’s cart. You even can get sushi there. Another interesting
is ‘’Myanmar Water Festival’’ The festival comes in April which signifies the
end of the hot, dry season and ushers in the New Year. For the people who wants to have a great day,
there’s a Traders Hotel, which is a 22-story hotel, part of Shangri-La Hotels
and Resorts’ which is located in Business center. It sits at the corners of
Sule Pagoda and Bogyoke Aung San roads, and many guests rooms have views of the
iconic Shwedagon Pagoda.
